Will We or Won't We???

That is the magic question for this week. Will we get our referral this time around or will we have to wait another tortureous month?! With a LID of Oct. 31st, we are right on the edge and I mean that literally. There has been a rumor on The Rumor Queen Blog that referrals are being mailed out as I type this. However, the cut off dates are unclear.

God, I wish I were done with this rollercoaster soon. I feel like I am going through infertility all over again. Right now, I would equate this to the two week wait and next week, I will find out whether or not I'm pregnant.

One good thing that happened today is this landed on my shoulder.
I think I was more excited than my kids today when they saw it land. For those of you that don't know, ladybugs are good luck in China and some say it's a sign that referrals will arrive. Last time I saw a ladybug, it was on the fence at work by my classroom and referrals arrived a few days later!

On another note, Jerry and I were talking tonight and I asked him if he wanted to videotape "the call" and he said he didn't know. I don't know either. I know a lot of people do so but I hate pictures as it is let alone, me on videotape blubbering like a big idiot. Oh, did I mention that we have no names picked out, no carseats, I haven't started the nursery yet, and the crib and changing table are still sitting in boxes.

Things I love
Friday nights
Waking up on Saturday morning knowing I can roll over and go back to sleep.
Birds chirping on a beautiful spring day.
The sound of rainfall while laying in bed.
Going to the movies.
Coming home and having my husband ask me if we want to eat out insead of cooking.
Long drives
Candy and junkfood
The Internet
My family
The beach
Fall days
Things I don't like
People talking on cell phones while driving
Waiting for a referral
Cooking after a long day
Rude people
Grocery shopping
Paying bills
Emails that tell me my wishes will come true if I send the email to 10 other people.

Today is my birthday. I was born 35 years ago. I am 1/2 of 70 or 5 years away from 40. I took the day off from work and did exactly what I wanted to do which was nothing. It was so nice to look at the clock, see that it was 6:30am and then roll back over and catch some more zzzzzz's. When I finally woke up, I did a little shopping for China, okay maybe a lot and I splurged and bought myself one of these.
So my day has been good and I've even convinced Jerry to take me to the vegetarian chinese restaurant that I love and he hates but hey after all, it is my birthday!
