Splash Zone

There is a park near our house that just opened called the Splash Zone. Basically, it's a bunch of different types of water fountains for kids to play in. The park was funded by a CA park grant so it's free. Since it's been pretty hot lately, my friend Karen and I decided to take our girls and check out the park. When Gracie saw it from the car, she started screaming at the top of her lungs, wa, wa (water) and was practically bouncing in her car seat! When we went inside, Gracie was a little bit intimidated at first so I had to carry her but she soon wanted me to put her down where she proceeded to run around and check out every fountain there was. Kailee, Karen's daughter, had a blast too. We finally had to take the girls away from the water because they were shivering from being cold but we are definitely going to go back soon.

PS~ I did take some video but with my small crappy camera so it's not the best quality.

Fun in the fountain

I think this is so cool to have this so close to our homes! The girls sure loved it. I think we should go back often while the weather is hot and until the pool opens. I wish we had more chance to talk while we were there. :-)

At first I didn't know you were video taping when I was telling you there was no sand at the park!

That looks like a totally great place to go. With all the hot we have had, it is great to be able to cool down.
