Trick or Treat

Gracie got lots and lots of treats tonight. She had so much fun trick or treating. I couldn't tell who was more excited though, daddy or Gracie! I had to remind Jerry several times that it was Gracie who was supposed to be collecting the candy. :) Gracie got the hang of trick or treating really quickly and would hold out her bucket and say trick or treat. She always said thank you too, after the candy was dropped into her Elmo bucket. It was cute because Jerry would go up and knock on the doors for Gracie but she only allowed that to happen a couple of times and pretty soon, she was marching up to the door herself with us close behind of course, and knocking loudly. Jerry and I were just cracking up at how funny she was. All of the neighbors gave Gracie extra candy and pretty soon, I had to hold her Elmo bucket for her because it was so heavy. At our own house, we only had around 20 kids come to our door which is not very much so, we have lots and lots of candy left over. It just so happens, that we bought candy that we like to eat, oh well!

PS~ Green apple Twizzlers are just plain wrong. Yuck!

PPS~ I'm irritated with Blogger right now because my pictures keep getting mixed up and out of order when I post them so I have to do it in pairs and it still happened, ugh.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful Halloween. Gracie went trick or treating last night and is going again tonight. She can eat candy this year but mommy and daddy get the stuff she can't chew. I don't have any pictures uploaded yet but will post them as soon as I get some time to do so. Oh, Gracie girl is a ladybug this year and looks really cute in her costume.

Daddy Time

As you recall from my last posting, I had a very busy week at local amusement parks. Last Friday, Jerry and I took Gracie back to Knott's since Jerry never gets to do the "fun" things with Gracie that I do during the day as he is busy working, providing for us. Jerry moaned and groaned since amusement parks aren't his favorite thing but he put on a happy face for Gracie and she loved having her daddy go on all the rides with her. There was one ride though that Gracie absolutely hated. It's was a ride shaped as a school bus, that goes around and makes your tummy tickle, kind of like when you are on a roller coaster. It then stops at the top and goes backwards. Poor Gracie girl, had the weirdest look on her face, everytime the ride went down and she didn't know what to do. I didn't get any pictures because she looked so scared and was crying for me. I couldn't do anything but comfort her, until the ride was over, which thank goodness was quickly. Other than that ride, Gracie had a blast. Hopefully I didn't give her an aversion to buses.

Gracie squealed everytime the car would whip around the corner. Jerry squealed because of his bad back!

Pump it up Gracie

Gracie loved the bounce house

Jerry was crazy and went on the Supreme Scream which goes way up high in the air and drops you like a lead balloon. Torture for me, fun for him.

Gracie kept saying, "Daddy, high" I said, "Daddy, crazy"

See those feet, wayyy up in the air? One of those is Jerry's and the ride is about to drop him down.

Later that evening, Daddy was silly with Gracie's hair. It doesn't look so badly in the picture but it looked hysterical in person. I think Gacie liked it too!

Disney, Knott's and am I Tired!

This past week has really been busy, so busy that I feel as though I've barely had time to breathe! It started with last Friday, when Karen and I decided to take the girls to Disneyland to see the fall decorations. This was after we did a mom's group playdate at Starbucks. Disneyland was packed, more so than it is in the summer. Doesn't anybody work these days, or even attend school anymore? People were probably thinking the same thing about us. We were able to go on maybe one or two rides at Disneyland, shove some food down our throats and see the Disney Playhouse, before Karen and I were going to fall over from sheer exhaustion and heat.

So we are a glutton for punishment and decided to go to Knott's this past Tuesday. Gracie's grandma went with us too. Since we already have Disney passes, why not buy ones to Knott's too. What a bargain it was for only $80 and that included no black out dates whatsoever. Knott's was like a fresh of breathe air compared to Disney, minus the customer service part. There were no crowds at all and the girls went on almost every ride in Camp Snoopy, twice! Grandma was a trooper, even though the temperature was in the 90s. Gracie and I liked it so much, that we took Daddy back on Friday. Oh, did I fail to mention that I went to Disneyland again on Wednesday and Thursday? Our friends from our travel group were down here from Northern CA with their little girl who is from the same orphanage as Gracie . I will post those pictures when I get a minute, right now I need to go and collapse into bed.

This was about the only thing there wasn't a long line for, a picture in fron of the giant Mickey pumpkin.

So happy

This is now Knott's. Kailee and Karen having fun on the cars

Grandma and Gracie on the cars too

For this ride, the girls had to pump the handle to make it go. They tried to their hearts content and did a pretty good job but needed a little bit of help from the worker.

I secretly think this was Karen's favorite ride

Party Pictures

Last Sunday, we had Gracie's birthday party. This year, I wanted it to be small and quiet since we did the whole 9 yards last year. Gracie had a lot of fun and got lots of neat presents. Jerry and I, along with my dad and Jerry's mom, all chipped in and bought Gracie a swing set which she loves to pieces. Poor Jerry, started putting up the swing set the day before and had to wake up really early the next morning to finish. It's not completely done but the swings and slide is on which is the most important thing. Gracie's birthday theme was Hello Kitty which was a lot different than last year since I did a Halloween theme for her first. This year, I wanted it to be girly and how much more girly can you get than Hello Kitty? I made the pictures smaller since there a lot. To see them larger, just click on the picture itself.

PS~ Gracie started staying I love you for the first time yesterday and it melts my heart, everytime she says it!

This is how the swing set came. It looked like never ending pieces of wood

Jerry's not too happy in this picture as he wasn't even half way done after working for 3 hours on the set

At least Gracie had fun on the slide, even though it wasn't put together yet
