Down on the Farm

Last Friday, Christy from our Lucky Mom's group, invited us to go to her sister-in-law and brother's farm. I was really excited because I knew Gracie would have a very fun time. On the way there, we got into a car accident on the freeway. I was rear ended by are you ready for this, a motorcycle!! Usually, it's the other way around! I was in complete shock when the whole thing happened as I looked in my rearview mirror to see a motorcycle on my tail and then bam, a loud bang. I stopped my car right there in the lane and got out to see the sight of this guy and his bike, lying right there in the fast lane. The guy was okay praise God and we were fine too. Gracie was sleeping at the time and she never sleeps that early, so we were being looked out for. A highway patrol happened to be coming by right at the time of the accident (wow, a cop when you need one!) and had us pull over at the next exit for a report. I was still in total shock, shaking and could barely remember the facts. I am actually disappointed with myself because I always thought that I would be one of those people that when you see a burning building, will run in and make sure that everyone is safe. Welp, I guess not!

When we finally got to the farm, it was really neat and exceeded expectations. We got our own private tour and got to eat from the organic garden, pet goats, and even milk a cow. Gracie and I got to taste fresh milk, right then and there. Not bad for being a city girl my whole life. It's so amazing that this farm is only 40 minutes from us, considering we are in SoCal, who would have thought! I think I could get used to being a country girl.

On the Kyle front, Jerry has been busy painting the nursery this weekend. I am hoping that we get our travel call soon. It's been almost a month since EP has been approved so if you are listening Korea, we are ready.

Right after the accident. The guy's windshield was stuck in my bumper. I happened to have my good camera on me since we were going to the farm.

Gracie tasting a yummy pea

Gracie got a kick out of the goat jumping right up on the trash can to be fed.

Wilbur the adorable pig that Gracie fed.

There were tons of cats running around and Mia and Gracie had so much fun chasing them!

The girls had a blast combing the blind pony.

Cute bum shot! ;)
