We Have Kyle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we finally made it to the day we have been waiting 2 years for, we have our new son!!!

We ended up getting to the offices early and saw a ton of babies there. I think they were all getting their well baby checks or being prepared for travel. Kyle's foster mother arrived early too and the next thing we knew, there was a knock on the door and in walked Kyle with his foster mom. It was so surreal seeing our son, right there before our eyes. I wasn't really sure what to do so I gave them both a hug. Gracie was super excited and ran right over to her brother and gave him a huge hug. She also gave Kyle the stuffed puppy that she had picked out for him. I then started the huge list of questions that I had for Kyle's FM. It was so nice because in China, we got Gracie handed to us and that was it!

Here are some things that we learned about Kyle. First off, and are you ready for this one, Kyle's foster mom said that Kyle is a very happy, mild and social baby!! Yay, exactly how Gracie is. As a matter of fact, the social worker said that she was completely amazed because most of the babies cry during the Q&A but Kyle didn't. Kyle's foster mom told DJ, our social worker that out of the 13 babies she has fostered, he is her favorite and she wanted to keep him!!!!!!! The foster families nickname for Kyle is smiley which I think is so darn cute!! We also found out that he loves kids and does not like spicy food, just like his mommy or sister or Jerry for that matter. He takes 2 naps a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. He goes to bed at 8pm wakes up at midnight, plays for a little bit then goes back to sleep. Okay, that probably won't be happening once we get home!

After the questions, we went downstairs and Kyle had his preflight physical and Kyle's foster mom gave us gifts One of the items she gave us is a huge butterfly album full of pictures for when Kyle gets older. If the butterfly album isn't a sign, then I don't know what is. She also gave us a traditional Han Bok for Kyle to wear on his 1st birthday. Her neighbor made it for him. We also got a special gift, the original clothes that Kyle was in when his birth mom turned him over to Holt.

It was finally time for us to say goodbye to Kyle's foster mom and she was having a super hard time. Throughout the whole meeting, we kept hugging her and at one point, she had to walk out with Kyle so she could have a few minutes alone with him. She followed us to the taxi to say her goodbyes. We promised that we would send photos of Kyle to her and her family. It was so heartbreaking to see how upset she was but she was really trying not to cry in front of Kyle. You could tell that Kyle was loved very much and well taken care of by his foster family. If you can say some prayers for Kyle's foster mom's heart to heal and some peace, that would be wonderful.

So there you have it, a very long posting. As I am typing this, my son is sleeping and Gracie is playing quietly in the other room. I feel so blessed and have tears of joy right now because I never thought in a million years I would have not only 1 child but 2. God is so good and I really feel that all of the things that we had to go through with our first referral, led us to Kyle who is the perfect fit for our family.

PS~ Kyle's foster mom said that he is perfect in every way, except for his hairline as he is a little bald! Ha, ha, poor Jerry!

Kyle is so adorable and that hat his foster mom had on him is too cute! I truly believe that all of the Holt foster moms are angels - they love the children so much. I will keep Kyle's FM in my thoughts and prayers. Congratulations!
