Happy Thanksgiving!

We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Obviously one of the things we are most thankful for is that we brought Kyle home this year. This was his first Thanksgiving and not only that, he has been home with us for 6 months which means that we had our final post-placement visit and he we will now be able to legally adopt him. Kyle also turned 18 months old this past Tuesday. This time last year, we were in deep pain regarding our first referral and what to do. I am so thankful that God led us to the path that was meant for us. Kyle is such a blessing and is doing so much now.

At 18 months, Kyle can say many words such as bye, bye, baby, and down. Kyle understands everything we say and if you ask him to throw something away or get a tissue, he will do it. Just the other day, I caught him taking a tissue, blowing his own nose, and throwing the tissue away in the trash! Kyle loves to go to Disneyland and his favorite rides are the ones that spin. Of course those would be his favorite as they make me want to throw up! He's still allergic to milk but Kyle loves to eat almost everything. One of his favorite things right now are mini marshmallows.

I am very grateful and blessed that we have Kyle and Gracie. I was feeling very loved the other day as I was putting out the Christmas decorations and I stopped for a second as Kyle and Gracie both wanted to sit on my lap, so I pulled them both on and we had snuggle time. Tonight at dinner, as I was listening to Gracie chatter away, I couldn't imagine life any other way.

No matter where you are in the path of life, always know that there is somebody who is thinking of you and loves you. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

This year, I nixed the store bought decorations in favor of the ones that Gracie made in preschool
