Weekly Walking Update

Walking last week was difficult for me. Not sure why but I didn't have the energy and I wanted to throw in the towel. I actually didn't walk on Wednesday and Friday, cut my walk from 4 to 3 miles. I really wanted to quit but I thought of Bonnie and how she is counting on me so I continued with one foot in front of the other. I'm glad I did as today's 4 miles went much better and I had more energy than I did all week. Saturday, the other moms and I walked 10 miles and we did great, averaging around 16 minute miles. I sure hope I can keep up that pace during the marathon.

I've also had some people donate so a HUGE shout out to Dad, Colleen, and G!!! I am humbled and feel so much gratitude that people would take the time to support me in this journey. I still have a long way to go with fundraising so please, any amount is helpful, even if it's $5. That $5 could change a child's life, especially Bonnies.

A couple weeks ago, the whole family walked together. Well, it was more like Jerry and I walked and Gracie and Kyle rode. It's awesome to have the support of my family and it's so cute because every Saturday when I go to walk, Gracie asks me, "Are you going to walk for Bonnie?". I love it!!!

The ride wore Kyle out, lol

We had summer type weather, hence the flip flops and short sleeves

Don't forget, you can click on the thermomter to donate electronically or click here For check donation, see post below this one or at the top of my blog, there is a link titled Walking for Bonnie which contains that info. You can also send the check directly to me and I will forward it.
