4th Forever Family Day!

Four years ago today, our little girl was placed in our arms. (I backdated this post as things have been crazy) Gracie was such a happy, little girl when the nanny brought her out to us. She was bouncing up and down and it was the cutest thing. I was really nervous as I didn't know what to do with a baby as I had never changed a diaper nor babysat, except for one time, which I hated because I had seen one too many horror movies and was convinced that the killer was coming through the window. Jerry and I had actually put Gracie's diaper on backwards for the first time. =)

Four years later, Gracie is still that happy, go lucky girl. Almost everyone who meets her or knows her, always comments on how Gracie always has a smile on her face and is very happy. Gracie loves to sing, play dress-up and is a great artist. She is also very smart with a wicked memory, it's scary. When I ask her what she wants to be when she grows up, she tells me a mommy and maybe a waitress, lol!

We love you so much Gracie and are VERY blessed that God has placed you in our lives for us to watch you grow.

Graduation Day!

My little peanut girl had her preschool graduation today. She still has another week left but today was the "official" ceremony. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel but I did okay and didn't cry. Originally, Gracie started off at our church preschool last year. It was too far for me to drive to every day as I was worried what would happen if we had a major emergency and I couldn't get to her, so at my friend Jill's urging, (thanks Jill) I made the switch to the local public preschool for this year. I am so glad that I did as Ms. W. is an awesome teacher! According to the principal, Gracie's preschool teacher is one of the most sought after in the entire district. I also picked this school because it's very close to where we live and the one where Gracie will go to for her elementary years, so she is already familiar with the school.

Gracie loves school and all the friends that she has made. It is kind of sad because next year, not all the of the kids in Gracie's class will be going to Gracie's school as some will be heading to Preppy K since they aren't old enough to attend kinder and others will be attending a different school. Gracie will turn 5 in October and normally, in a different state, she wouldn't have made the September cut-off but in CA, the cut-off is December 1st. I know she is ready to go and will have a blast next year.

Happy graduation day my sweet little girl. This is only the first step of a very bright future.
