Nicole is a life-long Iowan and serves as a Governor Appointee for the State of Iowa. She graduated top half of her high school class at Sergeant Bluff - Luton in 2004 then went on to earn a double degree in Political Science and Journalism from Morningside College in 2008. After graduation, Nicole went on to being elected the youngest woman in her town’s history to serve on the City Council. After serving two terms Nicole decided to switch her focus and start spreading awareness for a cause near to her heart Turner Syndrome. Nicole was born with this rare genetic disorder and started this blog to share her story and spread awareness. Nicole lives in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa where she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking and reading and spoiling her beloved Golden Retriever Winston and is a diehard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
